The Brief

A new website design

Dorie Greenspan was looking for a new website to reflect her new brand direction in her upcoming book, Dorie’s Cookies. Rather than leaving her blog as a personal side project, she wanted a one-stop point of reference for aspiring bakers and fans of her work.

The new website had a new brand direction, with a palette reflective of the colorful photography taken for the new book, and with French-inspired typography to reflect her French influenced cooking.

Another influence was Dorie’s gigantic, 6 foot long, 3 layers deep pinboard in her Upper West Side apartment (pictured above, she writes about that here). How can you not be inspired by a pinboard featuring a letter from Julia Child?

Final Result

The Baker’s Resource

The final site design is a home worthy of Dorie’s work, with sophisticated search tools and even a cooking glossary full of French (and other) helpful terms.

Dorie’s book was a best-seller during the holiday season, and her website is now a powerful marketing tool to grow her audience into dedicated fans.
